Since beginning her journey with her gift of song many years ago, Wind Daughter has built a program of experiential workshops and retreats to facilitate others in renewing their relationship with Mother Earth, and to reach within themselves to sustain their spirits. As a trained cermonialist, Wind Daughter works with regional circles and groups, as well as national events, to assist others in the path of healing. Wind Daughter facilitates an entire range of women's teachings, as practiced in the West Winds Women's Gatherings and workshops.
In 2001, after studying for many years under Grandfather BearHeart, Wind Daughter was given his permission to conduct quests for personal vision in his tradition and "as Spirit guides her for generations to come". (Note: this should NOT be confused with the traditional Lakota Vision Quest). These events are called Into the Silence.
In late 2006, after receiving guidance through prayer, reflection, and consultation, Wind Daughter decided to give name to her own vision, while continuing to carry The Bear Tribe's teachings and the bundle into a new era. There is never a charge for ceremony. Fees and suggested donations are asked to cover the cost of event venues, transportation, food, materials, and similar expenses. Wind Daughter welcomes your communication if there are any questions in this area. Please allow time for her response, as she has only limited and periodic access to email. |
