West Winds is an oasis...a sanctuary of beauty and healing where we strive to honor and keep alive the knowledge and echoes of the old ones. After many years of searching, I discovered an incredible 92-acre parcel of land near the White River, in the midst of the Ozarks in Arkansas. Thus, West Winds has become a place of physical as well as spiritual beauty.
The Bear Tribe Medicine Society, founded by Sun Bear, has a home on the lands of West Winds. The memorial to Sun Bear & his vision is a work in progress. I welcome the chance to share it with you. Please contact me if you are interested in donating mementos.
I continue to honor Sun Bear's vision of the Medicine Wheel each year. In 2008, we had our first Medicine Wheel in Arkansas, here at West Winds. We welcomed many old and new friends. I am excited that we will host an inaugural Medicine Wheel in a special place in 2010! As we continue to honor our past, which has a special place in our hearts, we are moving forward on our spiritual journeys. The Bear Tribe Medicine Society has become The Panther Lodge Medicine Society, and we have grown and expanded our vision.
Our website redesign is going on in the background, and I look forward to sharing it with you soon. We will continue to add more Medicine Wheel content to the site, and add historical content for The Bear Tribe Medicine Society, in honor of Sun Bear.
